May 16, 2008 -Escape to Amazing with The Whiting’s 2008-09 Season!

The Whiting is proud to announce its amazing 2008-09 season line-up! Get ready for a season of excitement as The Whiting presents a wide variety of performances from The Wizard of Oz, Jesus Christ Superstar, Bob the Builder and DRUMLine Live to Garrison Keillor, The Four Tops and Eileen Ivers. The new season kicks off on October 3, 2008 and will run through July 18, 2009.

May 7, 2008 -Jazz & Blues Sensation, Rachael Price

The Whiting completes its fascinating 2007-08 Masters of Jazz & the Blues Series with young, gifted jazz & blues sensation, Rachael Price. The concert takes place at Flint Youth Theatre on Friday, June 6 at 8 p.m.

April 8, 2008 -Animal Planet’s Jeff Corwin Visits The Whiting!

Audience members will love “Funny Man” Jeff Corwin and his special animal friends as he presents his high energy, interactive show, Tales from the Field on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 3 p.m. at The Whiting.

April 8, 2008 -STOMP -The Smash Hit Returns!

STOMP is returning to The Whiting on May 2nd and 3rd! From its beginnings as a street performance in the UK, STOMP has grown into an international sensation over the past fourteen years, having performed in over 350 cities in 36 countries worldwide.

February 18 , 2008 -Metta Quintet: Subway Songs

The Whiting’s 2007-08 Masters of Jazz & the Blues Series continues with a performance by Metta Quintet, featuring songs from the 2006 CD release, Subway Songs! The concert takes place at UM – Flint Theatre on Friday, March 14 at 8 p.m.

February 11, 2008 -H.M.S. Pinafore: New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players at The Whiting

Ride a wave of music and laughter across the deck of the fanciful British naval vessel, H.M.S. Pinafore as the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players comes to town on Friday, March 7 at 8:00p.m. at The Whiting for one unbelievable performance.

January 24, 2008 -ANNIE’S BACK!

Leapin’ Lizards! America’s most beloved musical, ANNIE, is back in its 30th anniversary tour, giving a whole new generation the chance to experience this classic musical about never giving up hope. The timeless tale of Little Orphan Annie will be coming to The Whiting in Flint for three performances on Friday, February 22 at 7:30pm and Saturday, February 23 at 1pm and 6pm.
